Sustainable Urban (Re)development in Miami

In Miami, Florida, the first talks were held on a design museum and accompanying school with student housing, and a transformation of the Wynwood district.

The Dutch Approach that the Collective of GO DUTCH presents, embodies the collectiveness that is necessary meet the earlier mentioned objectives. But there is more to that. It is about excellence.
The collective of the mediocre will never excel. But the collective of the excellent will be able to make the difference. GO DUTCH collects this excellence and therefore stands for making the difference.
We have something to offer and at the same time we are humble in this offering. Our projects focus on common and urgent societal questions. Urban questions that are not unfamiliar and at the same time are very specific for the US situation.

‘Going Dutch’ in this context means at first ‘to listen’. An active approach. Not only to hear the words and go on with our business but actively engage ourselves with what really is happening. Listening to the people that are involved, that stand for the different problems and tasks and that share an ambition to make a difference out from their own perspective.

So let’s go Dutch by listening carefully, professionally and personally. Let’s go Dutch through really engaging ourselves with the local situation, the people and organizations involved. Let’s go Dutch by bringing our excellence at the core of your project in a collective collaboration. Not only with GO DUTCH partners but with you, and the your local partners. Let’s go Dutch partner across like we did so many ages ago, like we do when things get rough, like we do when we share a vision, ideals and a common language.

Let’s GO DUTCH.

Floating Homes in Miami Beach

Who wouldn’t want to live ON the water in Miami Beach!!!
We have to confront the challenge of developing solutions to the problems posed by urbanization and climate change.
Given the fact that about 90% of the world’s largest cities are situated on the waterfront, we have arrived to a situation where we are forced to rethink the way we live with water in the built environment. Large-scale floating projects in an urban environment provide a tangible solution to these problems that is both flexible as well as sustainable. Using existing urban water as building ground relieves space for a new density, providing worldwide opportunities for cities to respond flexibly to climate change and urbanization.

This project incorporates both floating social housing, floating islands, and floating apartment buildings. Floating developments, in particular, have the ability to make a positive impact on communities. There are many communities all over the world that are threatened by rising sea levels.
These floating homes offer a flexible and adaptable design, creating solutions to specific needs of each area.

A sustainable future lies beyond the waterfront!

Tall Ships Miami 2018

The Miami Boat Show will have a new brother. In April 2018 Miami will be the central port for 35 of the biggest tall ships in the world. For three days these ships will be the focal point of everybody’s attention. TALL MIAMI’s main attraction will be the impressive fleet of Tall Ships, sailing heritage craft, modern ships, naval ships and replicas. In addition to this, every day there is a varying program of all kinds of cultural and sports activities.

The idea behind TALL MIAMI: We have to confront the challenge of developing solutions to the problems posed by urbanization and climate change.

Besides TALL MIAMI the attention will also go out to business people to make new connections. Part of the TALL will be a week of conventions and seminars about investment opportunities in the region. All related to TALL MIAMI: water management, sustainable urban development, creative industry, sustainable energy.
